Industry Applications
Pulp and Paper

In lime-recovery rotary kilns we match the burner configuration to the kiln’s aerodynamics in order to achieve proper heat transfer and calcining of the product. In addition, when the kiln is being used to dispose of waste gases such as non-condensable gases (NCG’s), we ensure this is done correctly so it doesn’t affect kiln efficiency, product quality, and produce harmful emissions.
In addition Turbulent Diffusion offers a variety of other combustion products including boiler burners, valve trains, igniters, incinerators, and heat recovery systems.
Cement
Turbulent Diffusion optimizes the operation of rotary kilns used for calcinations of limestone in the cement manufacturing process. Matching burner configuration with kiln aerodynamics, taking into account process requirements, our optimized systems ensure proper heat transfer for consistent production and quality. Customers realize significant fuel cost reductions per tonne of product as well as reductions in maintenance costs and atmospheric emissions.
Mineral Processing
Using the same theoretical and practical approach to combustion and aerodynamics, Turbulent Diffusion optimizes the operation of rotary kilns used in the thermal processing of minerals such as alumina, bauxite, copper concentrate, limestone, phosphate, and lightweight aggregates such as shale, clay and slate. Our systems produce the desired fuel cost reductions per tonne of product while reducing emissions and maintence costs.
Steel Industry
A similar optimization approach is used for rotary kilns in the production of steel. Turbulent Diffusion Technology’s optimized system produces significant fuels cost reductions as well as reductions in maintenance costs and atmospheric emissions.
